Millie Watson
Designation: Child Assessment Practitioner
Millie Watson is our Child Assessment Practitioner. Millie graduated from the University of Portsmouth in 2016 with a Bsc in Psychology. She continued her education at The university of Edinburgh where she completed an MSC in Child and Young People Mental Health. Post university Millie gained her experience working as a Family support Worker, she provided support to families specially around parenting, structure and routine at home, managing behaviours and directly working with children to hear their wishes and feelings.
Millie currently works as Assistant Educational Psychologist. Millie is part of assessing children with or showing traits of neurodiversity, health concerns and the impact this has on a child’s educational journey. Millie is part of implementing support in schools in how to meet the needs of children to ensure they are inclusive. Millie is part of a research project in understanding how early intervention can support children with language and communication difficulties.
Millie wants to support children and young people to be heard, to get the support they need and to support families to live a happy balanced life with the education and guidance they need .
When Millie is not working she spends her time with her daughter, she enjoys exercise and riding her horse.
