What are Exosomes?
Exosomes are nano-sized sacs of protein, mRNA, and DNA. These sacs are packed with genetic information.
How do they work?
In our bodies they are secreted from cells and can form their own plasma membrane. These exosomes then can be selectively chosen by other cells and can enter the cell through the merging of membranes. Afterwards, the membrane of the exosome breaks down therefore releasing the genetic material into the cell. Finally, this genetic material can provide new information to the cell, such as promoting growth.
Applications for Hair & Skin Regeneration
For skin and hair regeneration, exosomes extracted from donated human mesenchymal stem cells and sterilized. Proteins, DNA, and mRNA that promote growth and healing can then be placed within the stem cell derived exosomes. These exosomes are then given to a patient via injection and can target skin and hair cells, therefore promoting growth and healing.

Why Combine Focused & Radial Shockwave?
While some clinics offer just one type, at Levitas, we combine both focused and radial shockwave therapy in each session. Why?Â
- Focused shockwave penetrates deeper, making it ideal for tendons, calcifications, and chronic inflammation.Â
- Radial shockwave disperses energy across a wider area — perfect for releasing muscle tension and aiding in muscle recovery.Â
Together, this dual-modality approach enhances tissue healing from the inside out. Sessions last 45–60 minutes, giving us time to treat both superficial and deep pain effectively — and that’s why our outcomes are consistently better.Â
Benefits of Shockwave Therapy for Muscle Recovery
Shockwave therapy is not only for injury — it’s also a powerful tool for post-exercise recovery and sports rehabilitation. Whether you’re an athlete or someone just trying to stay active, the benefits include:Â
- Faster recovery from intense workoutsÂ
- Reduced delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS)Â
- Improved circulation to fatigued musclesÂ
- Loosening of tight fascia and trigger pointsÂ
- Enhanced performance and injury preventionÂ
If you’re in Wimbledon, Knightsbridge, or Guildford, our local clinics can support your recovery journey without disrupting your routine.Â
What to Expect During Your Treatment
- Medical Assessment: Your treatment is led by a doctor, not just a technician. We diagnose your issue thoroughly.Â
- Shockwave Application: We apply both radial and focused waves in a 45–60 minute session.Â
- Immediate Walk-Out: No need for anaesthesia or rest. Resume work or training the same day.Â
- Follow-Up: Most people need 3–6 weekly sessions. We assess and adapt your plan each time.Â
